About the Team/Service/ Location

Middlemore is one of the largest hospitals operated by Health New Zealand -Te Whatu Ora . We offer secondary-level (hospital and specialist) care and a selected range of community and domiciliary services for the population of Counties Manukau - the area that stretches from Otahuhu to Port Waikato.

We also provide niche specialist tertiary services for regional and national consumers in orthopaedic and plastic surgery, burns, spinal injury rehabilitation, renal dialysis, and neonatal intensive care. It is an accredited teaching hospital of Auckland University and University of Otago and caters for most medical and surgical specialties with a catchment area of around 600,000 people. We are currently looking for part time or full time Radiologists to join our team! You will be working with a dedicated and friendly team of more than 45 Radiologists, supported by the wider team of over 170 staff, including Registrars, Sonographers, Radiographers, Nurses, RIS-PACS and administrative support staff.

We perform over 225,000 procedures a year for a population of 590,000 South Auckland residents and we pride ourselves for our can-do attitude, excellent training, and very friendly staff.

Our Radiology Department is growing rapidly and will be opening a large new state of the art department within the next 24 months.

About you

As a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist, you should either be registered or eligible for vocational registration within this scope with the Medical Council of New Zealand. 

  • Current APC or ability to be awarded one.
  • Enthusiastic and ready for an adventure to the South Pacific
