The opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our team to work as a Physiotherapy Assistant. This role is part of our Acute Orthopaedic and Elective Physiotherapy service, including Acute Spinal Cord Injury, within Acute Allied Health The role is based over two sites, Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Surgery Centre.

The role requires you to work with the physiotherapists, students and the other assistants in treating patients in the acute and elective orthopaedic settings to reach their rehabilitation goals. You will also be required to assist with equipment ordering and consumables and tracking day-to-day administration.

  • has experience in a health care setting is essential
  • is able to work Wednesdays to Fridays

  • has good organisational skills
  • is keen to learn
