About the Role

This HRBP role presents an opportunity to partner with Clinical Leaders and Management as a trusted advisor and change agent, to influence decision making and implement initiatives to improve service delivery.

This is a critical and influential role in the P&C function, that partners and supports our people leaders. As part of this role, you will work closely within a dedicated business portfolio in a hand on, operational HR role that will work as a trusted advisor on day-to-day HR issues and input into our HR strategy and practices that enhance and develop the ability to deliver sound HR services to our managers and their staff.

About You

In this HR Business Partner role, you will utilise your comprehensive HR expertise—including strong employment relations skills—to co-design and implement people and culture initiatives that strengthen organisational capability. This position offers variety and is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who is skilled at engaging with senior leaders and facilitating meaningful, courageous conversations.

We are interested in candidates who bring:

  • Extensive HR experience (5 to 8 years) in advisory and partnering roles, preferably gained within large, complex, and unionised organisations.
  • In-depth, practical knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation, with hands-on experience in employment and industrial relations.
  • Proven ability to manage and support the implementation of HR policies and procedures, as well as to lead and deliver a range of HR-related projects.
  • Skill in understanding business needs and challenges, and translating these into impactful people and culture initiatives and performance outcomes.
  • The confidence to champion change and positively challenge leaders to drive cultural transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying organisational development needs and supporting leaders to deliver effective solutions.
  • Strong influencing skills, with the ability to provide constructive challenge in a professional manner.
