Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.

We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels. 

About the role: 

At Counties Manukau DHB, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of care to all of our patients. Health Care Assistants are our RNs right hand people assisting them with day-to-day tasks of caring for our patients going through their peri-operative journey. This is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to our vision of delivering quality patient care. 

The team of Registered Nurses in the theatres environment provide specialty care, and we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Health Care Assistant to join our great team to provide clinical and clerical support to our patients and the nursing staff. Our new team member must be highly organised, able to prioritise, have excellent interpersonal skills. 

Essential Requirements:

• Health Care Assistant level 4 certificate
• Experience working in a hospital setting
• Strong command of verbal and written English
• Computer literate
• Proven customer service skills
