·         We have a great opportunity for an experienced GP or Urgent Care Doctor to join the dynamic Counties Manukau District Emergency Department in a 12-month Fixed Term /Full- time role.

·         We have a new opportunity to join our team and help develop and pilot a fast-track model of care across our paediatric and/or adult waiting rooms.

About the Role

·         With approximately 130,000 adult and paediatric presentations per year our Emergency Department at Middlemore Hospital is one of the busiest in Australasia.  Middlemore Hospital is situated in a lower socio-economic area and serves a culturally diverse, high need population with a broad mix of medium to high acuity presentations.

·         In this role you would be working amongst a team of ED medical providers including SMO, MOSS, RMO and nurse practitioners, and will interact closely with our wider Emergency Department workforce.  The role would aim to provide clinical care at General Practice/Urgent Care scope of practice for patients presenting to either the adult or paediatric department.

About you

As an experienced Urgent Care Doctor or GP you will have the following experience and professional requirements needed in the role 

·         Registered in New Zealand as a Medical Practitioner and have a current annual practicing certificate

·         Vocationally registered with either the RNZCGP or RNCUC

·         Experience of at least four years working in primary care gained in New Zealand
