We are seeking a visionary and forward-thinking Core Clinician Social Worker to join us in improving equity and health outcomes for tamariki (children) and rangatahi (youth) at Te Puawaitanga, covering the Manukau, Manurewa, Papakura, and Franklin regions.

As a Core Social Worker, you will provide specialised assessment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for tamariki and rangatahi experiencing mental health challenges. You will work alongside whānau using a family-centred, strengths-based approach to promote safety, wellbeing, and meaningful connections. A commitment to working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team is essential, along with an understanding of, and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi.

We work closely with tamariki, rangatahi, their whānau, non-governmental organisations, schools, and primary care providers. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a strong, quality-focused multi-disciplinary team. Essential:

  • Registration with the New Zealand Social Work Registration Board
  • Current Social Work Annual Practising Certificate
  • Minimum 1-2 years post-graduate experience working as a social worker in Mental Health & Addictions
  • Full, clean driver’s licence with no limitations

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working with Rangatahi, Tamariki and whanau
  • Post Graduate certificate in Mental Health
