The Opportunity

We have an upcoming opportunity for a core clinician or a senior clinician with an interest in neurological rehabilitation to join our team based at Middlemore Hospital. Whilst the role is appointed to the AT&R service, the current vacancy is within the adult and neurological inpatient rehabilitation ward. The role supports a team of physiotherapists, as well as contributing to the wider rehabilitation service.

You will be involved in the supervision and development of rotational staff, rehab assistants and physiotherapy students. There is scope for involvement in leadership, service development projects, staff education and quality improvement work.

You will be professionally supported by a section head and other experienced physiotherapists as well as the wider interdisciplinary team.

Essential

  • Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board, current APC
  • Minimum three years clinical experience for the core clinician role
  • Minimum five years clinical experience for the senior role
  • Previous experience working in a rehabilitation team
  • Full drivers licence

Preferred

  • Post-graduate qualification
  • Experience supervising less experienced physiotherapists
  • Experienced working with physiotherapy students
