About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit (ASRU) in a full-time, permanent Core Clinician role.

Based in Papatoetoe, this is a stimulating opportunity to work within a regional specialist spinal rehabilitation service. You will manage a clinical caseload within an interdisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, person- and whānau-centred care to people with spinal cord injury and complex neurological conditions.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention within a neurological rehabilitation setting
  • Work collaboratively with clients, whānau, interdisciplinary team members, and external agencies
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within spinal rehabilitation
  • Support discharge planning and transitions across services and districts
  • Participate in a supportive, skilled, and enthusiastic interdisciplinary team environment

This role offers excellent opportunities to further develop your expertise in neurological and spinal rehabilitation.

About You

  • Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ post-registration clinical experience, preferably in neurological rehabilitation
  • Sound clinical reasoning skills and a commitment to evidence-informed practice
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a client and whānau-centred approach
  • A full driver’s licence
