About the Role

We are seeking applications from expereinced Allied Health Kaimahi for the Clinical Team Leader Mental Health NASC and Te Whetu Tawera Allied Health. This role reports to the Service Clinical Director of Adult Community Mental Health Services with a dotted line to the Service Clinical Director of Te Whetu Tawera. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day operations of both teams. This role is part of the senior clinical governence groups of both the Adult CMHS and Te Whetu Tawera.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Service Coordination (Mental Health NASC) has an FTE of 6 allied health professionals. They provide specialist assessments and negotiate appropriate support plans and placements for Tangata Whaiora presenting with complex needs in specialist mental health services.

Te Whetu Tawera is the acute adult inpatient mental health unit, based at Auckland City Hospital. The allied health team is made up of 15.7 FTE, including Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Physiotherapy. The allied health team work alongside medical and nursing teams to deliver appropraite allied health assessment and intervention. This team plays a key role in transition planning for whaiora who are discharging from inpatient care.

The connecting of these services under one Clincal Team Leader offers benefit to both the Adult CMHS and Te Whetu Tawera to enable collaboration and service development opportunities across the continuum of care through inpatient, community, housing and recovery and speciliast packages of care.

About you

The role would suit an experience mental health allied health professional, who has a working knowledge of the Specilast Mental Health services, the Mental Health NGO sector and the wider social sector. Experience in leadership, people management and service development would be beneficial. The successful applicant will also have excellent communication and networking skills

As a Clinical Team Leader Mental Health NASC and Te Whetu Tawera Allied Health you will:

· Have a NZ Registered Health Qualification

· Hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate with appropriate scope of practice endorsement (if required)

· Have a current Driver’s License

· Have a minimum 5-year experience in the relevant clinical environment, with at least 18 months in a designated senior role
