Counties Manukau is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Coordinator to join our Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Addictions team based at Matariki. This is a pivotal leadership role for a senior clinician who is passionate about supporting rangatahi and whaanau, strengthening clinical practice, and leading high-quality, recovery-oriented care.

About the role

Working closely with the Team Manager and Senior Medical Officers, you will provide clinical and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary community team. You will support best available clinical practice, workforce development, and coordinated service delivery across integrated care pathways.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical leadership and day-to-day coordination of the CAMHS team
  • Supporting high-quality, safe, and effective service delivery for tamariki, rangatahi, and whaanau
  • Acting as a clinical resource through consultation, mentoring, and coaching
  • Oversight of caseload management, clinical reviews, and resource allocation
  • Supporting staff development, supervision, and performance processes
  • Contributing to service improvement, quality initiatives, and clinical governance
  • Working in partnership across acute, community, primary care, NGOs, and iwi services

About you

You will be a senior registered clinician with strong leadership capability and a commitment to equity, cultural safety, and whaanau-centred practice.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Registration with a relevant professional body and a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
  • At least 5 years experience in mental health services, ideally within community mental health teams
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical governance, supervision, and coordination skills
  • Sound knowledge of recovery-oriented, person- and whaanau-centred care
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to improving outcomes for Māori
  • A full NZ driver’s licence
