About the Role
We are seeking two highly skilled senior registered nurses to join our orthopaedic team in part time positions, three days a week each. In these senior nursing roles, you will use your expert orthopaedic knowledge and leadership skills to manage acute and elective demand, to support an improved outpatient care experience, as well as provide orthopaedic advice for nursing staff across the organisation.
About the Team/Service/ Location
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist your key responsibilities will involve providing expert clinical assessment, treatment, education and case management for patients referred to the orthopaedic service for assessment and/or treatment. You will actively monitor patient flow and collaborate with the Orthopaedic Surgeon’s and Service Manager to address service delays.
This position is based at both Module 1 Manukau Health Park and Middlemore Hospital.
About you
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- 5+ years recent orthopaedic nursing experience in NZ (post registration)
- Previous Senior Nurse experience
- Relevant post graduate qualification or equivalent
