Role Overview:


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for Breast Care to join our dynamic team at Manukau Health Park. This role will utilize your advanced specialty knowledge and clinical leadership skills in breast care to enhance patient care within a multidisciplinary environment. As a key member of the team, you will provide a comprehensive and high-quality service that extends across various aspects of breast care, including community outreach, outpatient services, and hospital care.

You will collaborate with the General Surgery service and work across the organisation to support and complement the delivery of breast care expertise to our patients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Influence patient care and service delivery by recommending improvements in clinical practices related to quality, resource management, and performance optimisation.
  • Work collaboratively within the General Surgery service and across other clinical departments to ensure cohesive, high-quality patient care.
  • Take a leading role in ensuring the effective coordination of available resources, staff training, and skill development to meet the needs of the service.
  • Act as a clinical advisor on complex cases, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, including external service providers and community organizations.
  • Ensure that breast care services are delivered in accordance with clinical standards, policies, and organizational goals.

 

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with New Zealand Nursing Council
  • At least 5 years post registration experience in a relevant clinical environment
  • Relevant Postgraduate diploma qualification (or working towards)
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate

 

This role reports to the reports to the Service Manager, General Surgery
