About the role:
The Operating Theatres at Middlemore are one of the busiest operating theatres in the country. We cover a wide range from Orthopaedics to Obstetrics from Paediatrics' to Plastics our Services cover them all and we are offering you this fantastic opportunity to add diversity and excitement to your nursing career.
We are looking for a switched on, passionate Clinical Nurse Manager with extensive experience to lead our PACU team in Operating Theatres. This role is busy, challenging and supported by a great team of staff. It is an exciting opportunity for someone to showcase their management skills.
You must have proven clinical leadership experience, a strong customer service focus and superior interpersonal communication skills.
Essential
- NZ Registered Nurse
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- A minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience in the specialty (post registration)
- Post graduate diploma in relevant specialty
- Highly proficient clinician in nursing practise including skills, knowledge and ability to provide direction for and evaluate nursing care
- Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these
- Proven ability to provide coaching and address performance issues
