About the role:
We have a unique opportunity to step into the senior nursing leadership team for Nursing within the SAPS Division, to work both independently and collaboratively with the current Clinical Nurse Director of the division. This is an opportunity for you to use your leadership and professional skills as you strengthen the nursing contribution to professional standards and provide operational support and guidance to the day to day delivery of SAPs services. You will be accountable for nursing practice and delivering our nursing strategy and Fundamental care delivery across the division. You would also be working with nurse leaders across the wider district with a focus on supporting patient flow and quality care throughout the winter months.
The ACND will work in a collaborative partnership with the CND and wider leadership team to ensure clinical expertise and divisional strategies influence and enhance the professional leadership of nurses within SAPS.
We need you to bring your professional expertise, operational interest, strategic thinking, positive, pragmatic, can do attitude, an ability to work with data and your passion to support the provision of quality patient focused care.
- Provide professional and clinical leadership, to support the provision of quality patient focused care
- Provide strong coaching and mentoring of nursing staff
- Contribute to strategic planning, design and implementation of initiatives and projects to enhance clinical best practice
You will be an RN with current Nursing Council NZ practising certificate, have a Masters qualification with relevance to specialty and at least 7 years of relevant experience. Your previous nursing/leadership experience and knowledge and experience of performance management, embracing and leading change and good understanding of change management processes are all essential in this role.
