About the role:
Ward 4 is one of four Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation wards at Middlemore Hospital, providing patient focused care in Rehabilitation and Health of Older People. In addition, Ward 4’s model of care focuses in orthogeriatrics and patient focused care.
We are looking for enthusiastic Clinical Coach to be part of our Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation team. As a Clinical Coach Nurse, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of patient care by developing and coaching nurses in their clinical practice. You will work closely with Nurse Educators, Charge Nurse Managers, and senior nursing staff.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable and enjoys working as team member in a multidisciplinary team.
As a Clinical Coach you will:
- love providing clinical guidance and support to nurses, particularly those who are new to your area, including new graduates.
- be excited about using your strong evidence based clinical skills to enable confident clinical skills competence assessment.

About You:
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- 3+ years relevant rehabilitation nursing experience in NZ (post registration)
- Prior experience in a rehabilitation or orthopaedic setting would be desirable.
- Excellent communication & teaching skills
- Proficient or Expert level PDRP or working towards this
- Post grad certificate or diploma preferred.
