About the Role
Are you looking for a rewarding role where your work truly matters? Join our team of dedicated cleaners at Middlemore Hospital, where your contribution supports patient care and creates a safer, healthier environment for all.
As a Cleaner, you'll help maintain the highest hygiene standards across hospital wards, departments, and non-clinical areas. You’ll be an essential part of the hospital environment, supporting staff, patients, and visitors alike.
Key responsibilities;
- Perform bed discharge cleaning
- Carry out isolation and decontamination cleaning (full training provided, including Bioquell systems)
- Hang curtains (you’ll need to be confident using a ladder)
- Follow detailed cleaning procedures and area-specific duty lists
We currently have full time and part time roles working 16 hours a week available. Monday to Sunday. Due to the nature of the work, you must be flexible and available to work across a variety of 8-hour shift times 7 days a week. Our 24/7 service rotating-roster includes morning, evening, night and weekend shift times.
About you
- Experience in cleaning is great—but not essential; we provide full training
- Physically fit, able to walk or stand for long periods
- Comfortable working at height using a ladder
- A positive, customer-focused attitude
- Team player who can also work independently
