Are you a dynamic and experienced nursing professional looking for an opportunity to lead within a high-performing Critical Care Complex? We are seeking an Associate Charge Nurse Manager (ACNM) to provide clinical leadership, coordination, and management across our Critical Care Complex (CCC). About the Role
Catering to both adult and paediatric patients from the Counties Manukau area we specialise in Plastic surgical patients from the Auckland Region, Burn patients from around New Zealand and the Pacific, and spinal injured patients from the upper North Island.
As an ACNM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of nursing care for patients within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU). Your responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Coordination & Management: Overseeing patient care, managing staffing levels, and ensuring smooth daily operations within the CCC.
- Resource & Budget Management: Efficiently managing resources and working within budget constraints.
- Leadership & Team Development: Providing clinical leadership and fostering a collegial working environment.
- Patient-Centric Care: Ensuring culturally appropriate, patient-focused care through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Quality & Safety: Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives, policy implementation, and compliance with best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current NZ Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum 3+ years of recent clinical experience (post registration) in a critical care setting in NZ
- Functioning at a minimum proficient level on the PDRP
- Demonstrated initiative to improve quality of care for patients and Whanau
- Genuine desire to support staff and service development
