- Health New Zealand - Counties Manukau district in Auckland, New Zealand is currently seeking applications from exceptional Medical Imaging Technologists (MITs), ideally with substantial experience in Cardiac Cathlab x-ray for this full-time permanent position. We have two dedicated Cardiac Catheter lab suites - this unit operates weekdays only with no on-call. We have the latest technology including OCT, IVUS, Siemens ICONO + Artis Q, Sensis vibe ECG/haemodynamic monitoring.
The MIT role is unique within the New Zealand public health service. It has been extended to include independent monitoring of patient vitals, ECG and haemodynamics. In addition to managing radiation equipment and operating intra-coronary imaging modalities we also document electronic procedure logs. This results in a dynamic, interesting, engaging and essential role within the team providing a uniquely rewarding experience.

- 14 General x-ray rooms, most with DR
- Two dedicated Angiography suites
- A specialist Radiology Theatre service with 3D O-arm imaging and flat panel image intensifiers
- Four CT scanners performing acute and elective CT scans, including Cardiac CT
- 3T and 1.5T MRI scanners

Health New Zealand Counties Manukau Radiology department is dynamic and progressive and at the forefront of innovative health care delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector. Our clinical services are located on two sites. The main hospital is in Otahuhu whilst our outpatient and day surgery centre is located in Manukau, a short distance from our main site. Middlemore Hospital is the National Spinal and Burns centre, a tertiary centre for Orthopaedics, and a major trauma hospital exposing you to a wide range of pathology imaging.

About the Role
This role will include performing imaging equipment QA, transcribing the events during procedures and being responsible for haemodynamic monitoring and accessory equipment such as IVUS.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The friendly team of 5 provides 3 staff daily to cover two labs that operate from 0730 until 5pm with no on-call requirements.

About you
We seek some with 5 years or more experience in Cardiac Cathlab MIT ideally with training in ECG and haemodynamic monitoring. Our preferred candidate will be passionate about teaching and supporting junior staff with a desire to take on the leadership role in the absence of the Modality Lead MRT.
