Workforce & Health Operations Coordinator

Join the team responsible for providing high-quality healthcare in the Northern Managed Isolation and Quarantine Facilities. The 18 facilities  in Auckland and are part of our front-line defence against COVID-19.

The Opportunity

We have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Coordinator to join the fight against COVID-19 as a Workforce & Health Operations Coordinator, Northern Managed Facilities (NMF).

Reporting to the Business Support Manager, this role will be responsible for:

  • Working alongside other Workforce Coordinators to schedule & roster healthcare staff across all Northern Managed Facilities sites.
  • Taking ownership of the rostering processes to ensure staff are rostered as accurately in line with their skills, availability, and contract requirements.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to Charge Nurse Managers regarding their site rosters.
  • Coordinate with agency partners to source additional temporary staff when needed.
  • Support the Business Support Manager by assisting  with planning and reporting tasks
  • Ad hoc coordination and operational support duties as required.

  This role is a full-time (40 hours per week) with rotating rostered shifts Mon-Sun, 6am-9pm.

Please note, as part of this role you will be required to share some on-call/after hours duties with the rest of the Workforce Coordination team.

This role is based in the Northern Regional Health Coordination Centre,  Auckland CBD.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A proactive approach with a willingness to take on new tasks and challenges
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills, adaptable with a positive approach to their work.
  • Experience with  MS Office and strong IT skills
