Ward Clerk - North Shore Hospital

Permanent, Part time (Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4.00pm) 

Tumahu -Ward 11 ,Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation

We are looking for a welcoming and friendly person who is versatile, well organised and has proven clerical and administrative skills to join the team on Tumahu -Ward 11 at North Shore Hospital.

You will have excellent customer –service skills coupled with a manaakitanga approach to this role.

You will be working in the ward reception area, greeting visitors to the ward, be responsible for the maintenance of patient’s files, contribute to quality improvement on the ward, assist with arranging and monitoring patient movements, and be expected to communicate and liaise confidently with hospital staff, patients and their family/whānau.

You will have:

• Excellent and proven organisational and communication skills
• Customer service experience and know how to maintain a clean and organised reception area without being asked
• Complete any ward stock orders as per ward requirements in consultation with Charge Nurse Manager, using FPIM Procurement
• A flexible and positive attitude and the ability to multi-task and prioritise within a fast paced environment is essential
• Knowledge of providing administrative, clerical duties and reception support for the ward and Charge Nurse Manager.
• Excellent computer literacy Experience in a health care setting and knowledge of iPMS (preferred, but training available)
• A strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and under time pressure to meet deadlines.
