Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā District is a major provider of healthcare services in the Northern and Western Districts of Auckland, New Zealand with a catchment population of over 640,000. We are an organisation growing in many areas and have experienced considerable growth at both our major hospital sites, North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals.
Our Radiology Service is seeking a Team Leader MRI Technologist to lead and support our MRI Radiology Team, ensuring we are providing an effective and efficient MRI service that optimises the patient experience. This role is responsible for overseeing training of staff and students, managing staff performance, and ensuring the service provided meets standard of practice and safety requirements.
Reporting to the Radiology Operations Coordinator and working closely with Senior MRI Technologists, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead the introduction of new patient care processes and care delivery models within the team to enhance service delivery.
Our ideal applicant will have the below:
- Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Imaging or equivalent
- Post graduate diploma in MRI
- MRI scope of practice with MRTB with current APC
- Enrolment in a recognised Continuing Professional Development programme
- Minimum of five years’ experience working within a MRI scope of practice
- Experience training MRI MITs
