About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Perfusionist to join the main Cardiac Centre in New Zealand! Our Cardiothoracic surgical unit at Auckland City Hospital is the highest volume unit in Australasia. A subset of the ACH perfusionists also provides perfusion services for the Starship Children’s Hospital Cardiac service.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Cardiothoracic Service at Auckland City Hospital (ACH) is the main Cardiac Centre in New Zealand providing the full range of cardiac surgery for both ischemic and rheumatic heart disease, aortic surgery, heart, lung and liver transplantation for which the adult caseload is approximately 1200 per year. The unit is also the national ECMO centre for which it has a retrieval service.
Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand is set in a pristine marine-based environment with a temperate climate and has a population of 1.5 million. It is a vibrant mixture of lifestyles and cultures and offers easy access to stunning and diverse scenery and a wonderful range of outdoor pursuits.

About you
We are looking for the following requirements:
- Post graduate Diploma or Masters of Perfusion and be certified by the Australasian Board of Perfusion (or by the American, UK or European Boards of Perfusion)
- Familiarity with Stockert S5 heart lung machines is desirable and with Stockert Connect preferable.
- Previous experience as a Perfusionist
- Good communication skills and a proven team player
