Te Whatu Ora Waitematā is the largest DHB in New Zealand, serving a population of approximately 550,000 people living in the Rodney, North and West Auckland area.
We are seeking an experienced Specialty Nurse to take the next step to a senior nursing role to join the Urology team. This is a very unique role offering the successful candidate front line clinical responsibilities by providing outpatient nursing for adults within the Urology Service as well as patient management to meet Ministry of Health (MoH) compliance frameworks within the Patient Service Centre.
The Patient Service Centre surgical specialities manage the administrative and clinical patient journey from first Referral through to Elective Surgery. This involves providing clinical oversight within the urology speciality to support the clinically safe management of the patient elective surgery journey, to meet Ministry of Health (MoH) compliance timeframes, and is required to work within stringent reporting frameworks and data quality requirements.
This role works within a shared leadership model alongside the Operations Manager, Clinical Director, other Clinical Nurse Specialists and the Nurse Practitioner along with other key health care professionals including hospital managers to ensure the best care for patients using our services.
