Specialty Clinical Nurse - Research

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

As the Specialty Clinical Nurse - Research, you will be working on a world-wide Dermatology industry sponsored, Phase 3 multicentre, randomised double -blind Placebo-Controlled Study. The aim of the study is to assess efficacy and safety of Lutikizumab for treating signs and symptoms of moderate to severe Hidradenitis Suppurativa in subjects of 16 years of age and older.

As the Specialty Clinical Nurse you will:

  • Facilitate the smooth administration of the research project
  • Be responsible for study engagement, recruitment, consent and protocol delivery for the trail
  • Undertake data collection, and data entry
  • Running nurse led clinics, administering medication and act as an educational resource for study participants and whānau
  • Ensure adherence to and knowledge of International Conference of Harmonisation (ICH)and New Zealand Good Clinical Practice (NZGCP) guidelines when undertaking the clinical trial
  • Represent and promote the project at appropriate research forums

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

  • Registered with the NZ Nursing Council with a current annual practicing certificate
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role
  • Specialty Dermatology knowledge and practice expertise to a minimum of Level 3 practice
  • Research experience and understanding of Good Clinical Research Practice guidelines
