Senior Podiatrist - Full Time / Part Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Podiatrist to work in community based clinics to provide care to people at high risk of diabetes related foot disease within our Diabetes Service.
The successful candidate will be working alongside the diabetes and podiatry teams to deliver specialist podiatry services in the community to people referred to the Diabetes High Risk Foot Service. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
This position is responsible for the management of people with diabetes and at high risk of diabetes related foot disease or has active foot complications that are in remission. You will be providing clinical expertise, coordination of care, assessment, treatment and education while promoting independence and self-management of the patient/whanau.
You will have strong clinical skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships within a team and with other service providers. Working with the high risk foot and wound management will be of particular interest to you along with a desire to expand your knowledge and skills in this area.
It is essential that you are a NZ Registered Podiatrist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate with 2 years’ clinical experience, and have understanding specifically related to diabetes.
