We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic new graduate and experienced (core 2 level) rotational physiotherapists to join our highly skilled and dedicated physiotherapy team at Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā.

Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā is leading the way in the Northern Region for clinical digital innovation with electronic patient notes, e-prescribing and e-vitals, use of telehealth and strong links with our community and outpatient services.

The position: 

This is a full time role and this programme gives you the opportunity to participate in a wide range of clinical settings to further develop your skills and competencies in physiotherapy assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning across North Shore, Waitakere Hospital and Wilson Centre sites.

We offer a two-tier rotational scheme within Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā at three sites across the district.

Core 1 rotational positions are 4 months long and offer experience in:

  • Acute medical
  • Respiratory
  • Acute surgical
  • Acute trauma and elective orthopaedic
  • Older Adult Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation (AT&R)

Core 2 rotational positions are 8 months long and in addition to the above also offer experience in:

  • ED / ADU
  • ICU / HDU
  • Acute stroke unit
  • Outpatients – MSK, Respiratory, Neuro, Vestibular
  • Trauma Orthopaedics
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Paediatric rehabilitation at the Wilson Centre (the national paediatric rehabilitation provider)

  • Full time hours: 80hrs / fortnight (Monday to Friday)
  • Salary range: $77,087 - $116,390 (step 1-10, step placement is based on clinical experience)
