Wondering what comes next in your career?
Now is a great time to make your move into hospital, taking this opportunity to branch out with the support of a lively and collaborative team, who have plenty of experience and expertise to share.
If you are early in your career, a quick learner, and are ready to have days full of hands-on direct patient care that stretches your knowledge with outcomes you can see, we want to hear from you.
As a successful candidate, you can look forward to a staged induction which allows you to get used to a new environment and a different way of working. Once familiar with our core operational functions and overall hospital systems, we will transition you into ward-based clinical practice, mentored by our senior pharmacists and practicing as a core member of the clinical team alongside our medical, nursing and Allied Health colleagues.
Our program for clinical pharmacists provides a solid foundation, you will work alongside pharmacists in specialist roles such as antimicrobial stewardship, renal, cardiac, ICU, mental health and haematology.
We invest in our staff - participation in a post-graduate Certificate or Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy programme is actively encouraged and funded, and we provide in-house continuing professional development, training sessions, and established peer groups that easily meet MyRecert requirements.
Waitematā District has a track record of developing electronic systems that make our working life easier – imagine having all the records you could need right on screen!
