We have an exciting opportunity for a Registrar to join the Surgical team in our Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Service based at Starship Hospital. The position will be up to 12 months fixed term, depending on the successful applicants’ preference, commencing at the end of February 2025.
The Green Lane Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Service (PCCS) is a national service based at Starship Children's Hospital, Auckland. It is the sole provider of cardiology and cardiac surgical services for infants, children and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease in New Zealand and a number of Pacific Island nations.
We are committed to delivering whānau-centered care that focuses on the needs of the child first and values whānau (family) as an important member of the care team. We seek to lead New Zealand in paediatric service delivery, in the provision of pre and post-graduate nursing education, and through the building of our reputation as a national centre of excellence in paediatrics.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
This position is most suitable for a pre-vocational unaccredited Registrar with experience as a first assist for any cardiac surgical bypass cases. There will be opportunities to participate in ongoing Professional Development.
To be considered for this role, you must be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
If you are an overseas applicant and have overseas medical qualifications, you will be required to provide EPIC source verification of your qualifications for your registration application.
