Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Starship Child Health aims to build a robust programme of work focused on supporting services in all types of improvement activities. The objective of these improvement activities is to improve outcomes for mokopuna and whanau and reduce inequities for Māori by embedding Te Tiriti.o Waitangi throughout the project and change methodology.

The primary purpose of the role is to:

· Be proactive in actualising Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all aspects of the role, ensuring equity for mokopuna and whānau

· Co-lead the Improvement Team to implement and prioritise the vision, objectives, and plan for the improvement function in collaboration with TamaAriki Ora and the Senior Leadership Team.

· Co-lead and support the Starship Child Health Projects, Pathways and Outcomes Team and programme with the aim of improving outcomes for mokopuna and whānau

· Develop a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within Starship Child Health.

· Co-lead and support a clinical outcomes measurement framework across Starship Child Health services, as part of the Clinical Excellence programme.

· Support cultural competency and capability across Starship Child Health.

The Projects, Pathways and Outcomes Programme Manager supports the Pathways, Projects, and Outcomes Team to keep progressing:

· The actualisation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi across all work

· Identify opportunities to improve quality and experience/equity and scope these accordingly

· Plan, prioritise and deliver on various improvement initiatives (e.g., projects, pathways) in collaboration with services to ensure outcomes are achieved. These may include local, regional and/or national initiatives

· Utilise appropriate methodologies and frameworks to support improvement initiatives

· Manage expectations with services and other groups (outside of Starship Child Health) and escalate appropriate risks and issues that are impacting on projects, pathways and/or outcomes

· Clearly define and manage the workloads of the team to ensure kaimahi can work at the top of scope

· Support work of the Starship Foundation to fundraise for programme costs (presentations, stories, impact reports, regular attendance at foundation meetings).

· Establish and refine methodologies, frameworks, and tools in collaboration with services and TamaAriki Ora

· Identify opportunities to pilot or adopt innovative technology solutions to deliver mokopuna centric, whānau focused, efficient/effective care
