We are currently seeking a Programme Manager, Systems and Informatics working full-time, based at Greenlane Clinical Centre. Tāmaki Makaurau.

The Northern Region Public Health Service work towards pae ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact on people’s health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection and population-level intervention. 

To do this, we partner with others to work alongside whānau, communities, and other sectors, drawing on Mātauranga Māori and data to provide health promotion, prevention and health protection at local, regional and national levels.

In embarking on our journey to achieve pae ora for our whānau and communities, we acknowledge the kotahitanga, the collective actions of public health staff across Aotearoa, that have gone before. The National Public Health Service sits within the delivery arm of Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand.

This role is part of Northern Region Public Health Intelligence and provides support and leadership for the Systems and Informatics Team who constantly improve systems, develop processes, support upgrades, train staff and provide advice and input into regional and national public health systems. The team is excited about the future of health in New Zealand and the opportunities it will bring.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

In this role your primary focus will be to:

  • Constantly learn, develop and adapt using agile approaches to work
  • Be proactive, positive and support a team to strive and thrive
  • Champion the mission of making a difference for Te ora ō Tāmaki Makaurau
  • Lead quality improvements in systems and informatics
  • Use your indepth knowledge of information systems, data and processes to lead projects
  • Lead and advocate for collaboration and intelligence sharing.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

Given the importance of this role, we are seeking someone who has eight years professional expertise in leading, mentoring and coaching a multi-disciplinary team. The individual also requires in-depth technical knowledge for designing, implementing and maintaining data, processes and information systems in a healthcare setting. 

You will be team player who finds real reward in motivating people and are described as being curious, flexible and who can provide solutions!
