Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Principal Medical Physicist to join Te Pūriri o Te Ora – Auckland’s Regional Cancer and Blood Service, home to the largest single-site Radiation Oncology Department in Australasia. This role offers the chance to contribute to innovative radiation therapy advancements while shaping the future of cancer care in New Zealand.

In this role, you will work with state-of-the-art equipment, including six LINACs, C-RAD SGRT systems, two Dual Energy CT scanners, RaySearch Treatment Planning, and advanced quality assurance platforms. You will also play a key role in training and mentoring Medical Physics Registrars within our accredited training centre. The successful applicant will lead and manage our dosimetry and QA programme, including the upcoming acceptance and commissioning of two new TrueBeam linacs.

You will have access to continuing professional development to support your ongoing growth, including attendance at international courses and conferences.

To be considered for this position, you will be a qualified medical physicist (ACPSEM Certified ROMP or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience post-qualification. However, applications from physicists with less experience will also be considered.
