Physiotherapist, Outpatient Cardiorespiratory - Acute Allied Health

We are seeking a physiotherapist to join our outpatient clinic and community based team.
This rewarding position offers a physiotherapist with an interest in the field cardiorespiratory physiotherapy the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge within a friendly and supportive outpatient and community environment.
You will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing care primarily to adults with respiratory conditions including COPD, asthma, ILD, bronchiectasis and disordered breathing patterns. Physiotherapy services are provided through pulmonary rehabilitation, disordered breathing clinics, bronchiectasis and interdisciplinary complex case clinics across multiple sites, including the community within the Counties Manukau district. Opportunities also exist to work in and further develop telerehabilitation services.
Our team is innovative and quality focused with a strong emphasis on research and improvement projects. Post-graduate education is actively encouraged and supported, along with student and peer supervision. Our team is part of the wider Allied Health team at Counties District with strong links to the Department of Respiratory Medicine and includes a section head physiotherapist, nurse manager, physiotherapists including physiotherapy advanced clinicians, respiratory nurses, respiratory consultants and physiotherapy assistants. The wider team includes other care providers including community stakeholders, non-profit organisations and tertiary care providers.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have ideally a minimum six months of cardiorespiratory experience, excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to build relationships with patients and their whānau, and the other members of the health team. Full time as well as part time hours will be considered; flexible hours may be negotiated.
Essential:
• New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with current APC
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Physiotherapist
• Minimum 6 months experience in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy
• Full, clean driver’s licence
