Waitematā District Health Board serves the communities of north and west Auckland, a population of over 860,000 and is dedicated to becoming the national leader in the delivery of high quality, patient centred services, providing ‘best care for everyone’.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time Operations Manager, within the Adult Mental Health Service to oversee the North and Rodney services.
You will manage a diverse range of both inpatient and community mental health services and work in close partnership with the Clinical Director and the Clinical Nurse Director. You will also work closely with the Waitakere Adult Mental Health Services leadership team to ensure that services are delivered consistently across the Waitemata District.
Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to build strong positive relationships would be most beneficial in making this role a success. Through these relationships you will contribute to a clinical and organisational environment that is responsible for providing acute (community and inpatient) and recovery focused specialist mental health assessment and treatment to people residing within the Waitematā DHB catchment. A Psychiatric Liaison Service is provided at both North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals. The service provides a dedicated phone line for advice to General Practitioners and runs a Primary Care liaison service. The service is also responsible for providing acute community assessment and treatment to people of all ages (including children, youth and older adults) over the weekends and outside of normal working hours.
The service is delivered from nine primary sites across the Waitematā district.
