Are you are a Registered Occupational Therapist wanting to make a difference in a cultural/clinical service? Takanga A Fohe is a Pasifika clinical service within the Waitemata DHB Specialist Mental Health and Addictions Service Group. We provide clinical treatment in mental health and addictions with Pasifika cultural values and concepts approach.
This position is for the Isa Lei Adult Mental Health – a Multi Discipline Team. Providing occupational therapy assessment and interventions to service users. The care is based on comprehensive assessments, collaborative recovery plans and supports programme delivery in collaboration with cultural advisors (Malaga Cultural team).
Our service is culturally and clinically guided with evidence based practice and a passion for Pacific language and cultural values. Knowledge or experience working with Pasifika peoples or other indigenous cultures would be advantageous. However, we also provide an environment to develop cultural competence and a high level of support will be given. A high standard of interpersonal skills and a proven ability to organise and prioritise your workload is essential.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist that has care co-ordination and community mental health experience. However, NESP and New Graduates are welcome to apply. You will need:
- A full driver's license
- NZ Registered Occupational Therapist
- Current practising certificate
