Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Our service is seeking an Oncology Nurse Educator to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is the development of clinical practice through the delivery of education to the oncology nursing workforce to improve patient outcomes in both community and tertiary settings.
It is important that you can provide professional and clinical leadership, prioritise workload and work as part of a supportive senior nursing team so that excellent clinical care can flourish.
A key focus of this role will be working collaboratively with our Oncology leadership team to support the implementation of Oncology services regionally including community settings.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

- A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- Minimum Level 3 preferably Level 4 practice chemotherapy certified RN with a strong oncology nursing background
- Post graduate qualifications, preferably to master’s level preferably with a focus on adult education
- Experience in adult education
- Innovative mindset and able to network with different stakeholders
- Excellent people and project management skills
- You will be competent in the use of IT systems, e.g. Microsoft Excel and various local databases.
- Be able to travel to regional sites
