Nurse Colposcopist – Colposcopy Screening Service

Health New Zealand Counties Manukau is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services within our women's health service. The Colposcopy Service sits within the national cervical screening programme and is central to the successful diagnosis and treatment of cervical abnormalities.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Colposcopist to work in partnership with the clinical leads and service management teams, to proactively promote early engagement with women and whaanau that require access to the Colposcopy Screening Service. In this role, you will perform examinations, provide patient education, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.

The role requires advanced clinical knowledge and applied reasoning. The Nurse Colposcopist is responsible for enhancing the quality of care provided to women accessing the Colposcopy Screening Service by co-ordinating and leading the provision of responsive, evidence based culturally appropriate care.

Essential:

  • NZ Registered Nurse with current APC
  • 5 + years experience, post registration, with relevant experience in a Colposcopy Service
  • Experience in NZ cervical screening programme
  • Post graduate qualification
