Join Te Toka Tumai Auckland and be part of our growing Adult Radiology Department, part of the Clinical Support Directorate. Auckland City Hospital Radiology is a dedicated healthcare service providing imaging to the people of Auckland, New Zealand and the South Pacific

Our Radiology Department provides Radiological services to our patients from three sites – Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children’s Hospital and Greenlane Clinical Centre. 

Te Toka Tumai Auckland is the largest teaching hospital in New Zealand offering a wide range of tertiary and quaternary clinical services to a large and diverse population. We have state of the art facilities and aspire to provide the highest standards of patient care and staff engagement.

In this role you will work together with the MRI Team Leader and other members of the wider multidisciplinary team. You will also work with other Educators (within Te Toka Tumai Auckland other districts/ health care providers) to plan and deliver staff education and professional development programmes.

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week reporting to the MRI Team Leader. You will be rostered to the MRI roster and undertake clinical duties/supervision with set time allocated for non-clinical function of the role. You will be required to work across Te Toka Tumai Auckland sites to ensure education/trainee needs are met for staff and post graduate students. We are also moving to rostered weekends within the next couple of months and there will be an expectation of a 1:6 weekend rotation.

As the ideal person for the role you will be a registered MRI Technologist with New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board with a current Annual Practising Certificate. You will also come with great clinical and technical skills in the field of MRI. Experience in teaching, training and mentoring is advantageous.
