Waitematā District serves the largest population in NZ, providing health services to a diverse population. Our healthcare workforce is based in the North Shore, Rodney and West Auckland Districts.
About the role
As a Senior Human Resource Advisor at Waitematā, you’ll be providing best practice human resource advice and expertise to management and staff. You will work as a business partner responsible for your own service portfolio alongside a Human Resource Manager, providing support in relation to the interpretation and application of human resource policies and practice, legislation and advice on a range of employment matters. As a Senior Advisor with experience in employment relations you will also provide case support across the District.
About you
The pace is fast and the work can often be complex so you must be able to prioritise your workload, be pragmatic and adept at problem-solving. Key to your success will be your ability to build strong relationships through mana-enhancing communication. You will also have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical capability, and attention to detail
- Experience in change management and managing performance
- The ability to provide proactive and positive solutions to the business in a timely manner
- A tertiary qualification in human resources, psychology or business
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in HR business partnering
- Experience in a unionised environment would be an advantage
