Permanent Full-time role available (1.0FTE) - Middlemore Hospital
As a Speciality Clinical Nurse you will be leading a team with a passion for clinical excellence and a willingness to assist and support the Associate Clinical Nurse Managers (ACNM) in their roles within Theatres. The role is busy and challenging and involves the daily management and overseeing of the theatre lists, supported by a great team of staff. Turnaround times; utilisation, consumable accountability and in theatre staff support will form an important aspect of these roles. On-going Learning and Development is actively encouraged at Counties and there are real career opportunities available for those that want to take their nursing career to the next level.

- Demonstrate your advanced clinical skills
- Take responsibility for Theatre Utilisation and efficiency under the direction and guidance of the ACNM.
- Support and drive our quality initiatives alongside the ACNM.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the on-going training for your clinical teams, working closely in collaboration with the ACNM and Nurse Educator.

We have a position available within our General Operating Theatres at the Middlemore Hospital.
The operating theatres at Counties Manukau DHB are amongst the busiest and most exciting places to work in New Zealand. To meet the demands of our growing population we have recently migrated into a brand new State of the Art suite of Operating Theatres at the Manukau Surgery Centre.

Essential
- Registered Nurse / Registered Comprehensive Nurse
- A minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience in this specialty
- Post Graduate Diploma
- Highly proficient clinician in nursing practise including skills, knowledge and ability to provide direction for and evaluate nursing care
- Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these
- Proven ability to negotiate and motivate staff to excel.
