About the Role
As a Cardiac Sonographer you will be able to take advantage of having exposure and training in a range of disciplines of Cardiac Ultrasound. We are the largest teaching hospital in New Zealand.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Cardiology Department provides outpatient and inpatient non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular investigation and treatment for the following:
- Management of acute and chronic coronary syndromes
- Valvular disorders and Rheumatic heart disease
- Temporary and permanent pacing
- Arrhythmias
- Management of Heart failure
The Cardiac Investigation unit based at Middlemore Hospital & Manukau Surgery Centre provides TTE (adult and paediatric), TOE’s / DSE /ESE / contrast and bubble studies.

About you
We are seeking qualified & experienced Cardiac sonographers to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team based in Auckland, New Zealand. .
- University degree with Cardiac ultrasound graduate/ post graduate qualification
- Current registration and practising certificate
- You must be currently registered or able to register with MRTB*
- Post qualification experience of minimum of 1-2 years
*If coming from overseas you should be able to apply for registration with NZ Medical Radiation Technologist Board(MRTB).You will be required to obtain registration as a sonographer with NZ MRT Board @www.mrtboard.org.nz
